Tivoli

A city colonized by the Greeks in 1215 BC, 462 years before the birth of Rome. Built by Solin's son, Tibur where the name was changed by Tibori, Tiboli and now Tivoli.

Villa d'Este

A medieval palace with gardens and a complex of fountains, built in 1572 by Cardinal Ippolito II D'Este, who was the son of Lucrezia Borgia, and Lucrezia's father was Pope Alexander IV. Listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
